FAZER OU NÃO FAZER, NÃO EXISTE TENTAR! SEMANA QUATRO!

Wazzzup todo mundo!

Seeing my family and some friends on Pday was super fun! I didn't get the chance to call everybody I wanted, Pday was busier than usual, but it's all good! I'll hopefully get to yall this week. Dedicado no trabalho!

Meu companheiros e eu decided every morning to do 100 push-ups, and say our Propósito Missionário em Português before personal/comp study, as well as 100 pushups at night and reciting Premiero Visão em Português.
(We get our leg workouts by running literally up 100 steps each time we go between room and classes so chill)

Join GOOGLE PHOTOS!! Daily updates!

PDAY FRIDAY
We spent about 4 hours at the Police
Station getting our passports and fingerprints recorded. So fun! 💀
We got to go outside the CTM and we headed up to get the best Açai I've ever had (first time lol) filled it with strawberries, powdered condensed milk, and syrup. MUITO BOMMMM
We walked around, went to the grocery store and a cookie shop! Thanks mom for the gift.
It's really cool beacuse this area is within my mission borders so I might have been walking the streets I'll walk in a couple weeks!
Talked to family (love yall) then had classes rest of the day.

SÁBADO
Saturday was chill, we played Foosball and volleyball with another district. Litty.
We had classes rest of the day, but the coolest thing was we taught our first lesson completely in Portuguese! This is our fourth lesson with this investigator. We did really well besides the asking questions and listening parts hahah. We didn't want to ask too many questions to the investigator because we wouldn't really know what she said or what we could say back lol. We talked about the commandments and watched a video and challenged her to read Mosiah 18 in preparation to talk about baptism!
We had a sub for our last three hour class block, and he had nothing prepared so we just did a really fun activity that I want yall to try:
Flip thru the Livro de Mórmon and open to a random scripture. Use this scripture to talk about it for 60-90 seconds by applying it to real life. Literally any scripture can be used to talk about ANYTHING. Some of yall are gonna be like "what about "and my father dwell in a tent"" I promise, that scripture has a deeper meaning. Try it out it's super fun and simple practice. The scriptures can be applied to all aspects of our life.
It's a great way for those of us who aren't super comfortable with the chronology of the scriptures, this will help you find context and share any scripture in any situation! Do it with a partner it's more fun.

Domingo
The other half of our zone arrived last Thursday, so our Zone Chapel was finally full! I had a fire talk prepared but wasn't called so no one got to hear it. The speakers were from the new districts so that was fun, they'll be great.
We got together with the whole zone and played "signs". Super hype game once people get good. Great team bonding.
A Seventy came for a devotional but he didn't talk much to us missionaries haha. He was great, but he brought his Returned Missionaries during his time as President of the MTC, and mostly spoke to them about tithing and cleaving to their spouses. I listened and took notes of course but I'll have to act on them a little farther down the road

Segunda-feira
Chill day. Only Companionship/Personal study and classes with phys activity in the morning.
Spent a lot of time marking my new (English) scriptures. So peaceful. I love rereading important scriptures. I hope to get better at remembering references and the doctrine within them.
We had four different teachers (three different subs) for our two three-hour classes haha. My favorite was Irmão Lopes, who turns out had served with my good friend Mason Burnett, and we got talking reminiscing about him haha. Love you bro, he said you are an amazing missionary and thx for the spikeball.

Terça-feira
Happy Birthday Dan! Love ya. Sua careca é mais brilhante que o sol. Tenho saudade.
Was just like Monday but we had service as well as Physical Activity. We swept the CTM parking lot,  super fun bc we got to go outside the gates.
Studied a bunch about faith and temple work.
Elder Kelly fixed up Elder Teuscher and Elder Brady's hair after classes before bed lol (glad I got a cut before the CTM haha)

QUARTA-FEIRA
We went to the São Paulo temple today, did an Endowment and baptisms!
Everyone slept during the Endowment even the officiaters hahah.
The baptismal font was SO slippery everyone that went under the water slipped and had to go again. Including me, it was so funny. Did everything in Portuguese! Endowment, confirmation, and baptismal covenants and blessings. So cool.
Rest of the day all we had was comp and personal study. Worked hard on marking up my scriptures and studying Portuguese.

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
Jeremiah 15-16
15 But, The Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.
16 Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the Lord, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

These scriptures are so awesome, they talk about me and you!! We are Gathering Israel as we speak. My favorite part about these scriptures are the "fishers" and "hunters". Two completely different skill sets but inherently the same purpose. No missionary is the exact same, but
we all have the same purpose: To invite others to come unto Christ!!

Love you guys!! My Pdays are Fridays, email me!
