Opa meus lindos, beleza? Here's my week! How was yours? Tell me about your weekly miracles!!
Sorry if some of the days feel rushed, I just jot down notes each day to talk about!

Tuesday
Pday!! Had a churrasquinho at Irmã Rose's house!! Was super yummy!!
Later in the day, we Ubered to the Visitors Center with our friends Regina and her son, Guilherme! They had an amazing time, i softened up Guilherme bc he thinks he's a tough guy, but he loves talking with me. Just need to get him tô stop smoking. Kids and their trends these days. Regina is the cutest thing! She cried through most of the videos shown there and when we stood in front of the Cristus statue. They will be baptized. By me. Guaranteed.
Got home and fell asleep around 12am oops
Wednesday
Transfers!! Elder Silva and I woke up at 5:00am because our taxi was at our house, about an hour early. We hustled to get everything of Elder Silvas out of the house. He only had one suitcase so most of his things were in boxes.
Spent a while at the Secretário waiting to head to the Chapel near the temple.
The time came, so we headed over there and set up chairs, and waited for hours lol. I met up with my New companion!! Elder Ferreira! He is in his fourth transfer so we are both pretty new! Also, six of the seven companions are training, so our Zone is very new. Elder Kelly and I are in our final transfer of training, and the other four are in their first. One girl and three boys. All three boys are in my District hahah
The new missionaries arrived and it was super crazy deja vu!
We received some new training, and then we left to go home!
Desire to baptize and work
Remembering people and places
Explaining all kinds of topics in Portuguese has strengthened my ability of speaking
Thursday
Tons of Goals
Made Stroganoff
Walked around our area contacting people who have previously met with missionaries. Not much luck.
Met Marcos, Sad family story, loved the bible read it cover to cover 4 times. Gave him a Book of Mormon and he said he'll read It.
Dinner with Karina and family
Friday
We did SO MUCH!! Ive never had a more satisfying, miracle filled day. I am LOVING Elder Ferreira!!
Contacted pretty much the whole world via WhatsApp
Had lunch with Elder Madsen and his novo, Elder Crow
After, we headed around trying to find people
Talked with Antônio, our LMA (Ward Mission Leader) and through him we got like 5 more EASY baptism references. People who are PRONTO, então VAMOS LÁ
Worked and talked with tons of people, made plans with them and their families to work towards their baptism!
We made plans with Elisângela to go to the Visitors Center on Sunday!! (We will invite her to be baptized there!)
Got caldo de cana and pastels!
Saturday
Attended Seminary
Went to the Property of James E. Faust for lunch! Incredible!
Had an awesome lesson with Bianca (New person)
Marcos has been reading the LdM and he doesn't like it so far because Nephi loves to refer to himself hahah. (I, Nephi)
Had an amazing lesson with Josefa and her granddaughter Tayná. We will baptize Tayná. I have faith!
Sunday
Hit 90 days!
Went to our Stake Conference in Cotia! It was beautiful, almost everyone's topics were on Temples and Families!! Foi incrível!
Got a ride with our Bishop to have lunch at his house!
Bishop's wife's car broke down thirty minutes away, he has to rescue her, then the gas at their house wasn't working, and so we didn't have lunch till around 3. We had been fasting (jejum)…
Food was good when it finally came out.
I had to explain to them that Churrasco and Barbecue are two VERY different things
Elisângela ghosted us… we had plans to go to the Visitors Center and invite her to be baptized but she never responded to us all day Sunday
Met with Regina and her son Guilherme, and had an amazing lesson about Faith, Repentance, and the Expiação (Atonement) of Jesus Christ. Guilherme is having a hard time grasping the concept of Repentance. To him, a broken heart and a contrite spirit is “too easy”. I think we explained it well, but I hope it doesn't become a Moses and the Brazen Serpent.
Met up with Tayná, but she was half asleep the whole time, she accidentally took twice a dosage for a benadryl equivalent so she had slept the entire day and night lol.
Monday
Met up with our District, Elder Madsen, Crow (novo), Hernandez (LZ), Shumway (Novo). Had a great time talking about our plans for this transfer and district. We set the bar high but it's possible!!
Met up with Maria Antonio and her family, planned a Noite de Família with them next Saturday, and hopefully we will be able to talk to her son in law, (another) Guilherme, and have him be baptized soon! His wife describes him as an “unbaptized member” so he's so ready.
Had a lesson with just Guilherme to talk more through Repentance. Shared the stories of both Enos and Alma the Younger.
Had a better lesson with Tayná, and she accepted a plan to prepare to be baptized!! She just needs to exercise faith and pray!!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
FIRST INVITATION
General Conference is this week!! Be so grateful you can listen to it in English (most of you)!! I will have to watch it twice to fully understand haha. But!!!
My invitation for YOU, meus queridos, is:
1. Make a list of questions you want answered or topics you want our prophets and Apostles to talk about and listen intentionally for those things.
2. If you dont want to take notes, simply put the name of the person who spoke and their topic.
3. When Conference is over, take time this week to read over the talks. I promise they'll have new meaning and you'll learn something new.
I promise if you do these things, General Conference will have more of an impact on your life. I have the wonderful opportunity to listen to talks whenever I want, so I started with the April 2000 General Conference, the first Conference held in the present-day Conference Center. Right now I'm in the Priesthood Session of April 2001. It is surprising how many times I tear up listening to these incredible men and women speak. They speak with power, authority, and with the Holy Ghost.
SECOND INVITATION
My mission is doing a 90 day reading of the Book of Mormon (October 1st-December 30th). I invite you guys to do the same! I'll drop the schedule here for you guys. While you read, pick a specific gospel topic or principle to look for! Say a prayer before you start, and when you end. Do it!
Imma start a new thing:
Weekly General Conference talk!
