CONVÊNIOS, BOLO = NOVOS PESSOAS, ONDE FOI O PLUGUE? - SEMANA DEZOITO
Hey everyone!! I hope you had the best week ever, full of daily miracles and blessings!! Let's get into the week!
PENSAMENTO ESPIRITUAL
Alma 29:8-9
8 For behold, the Lord doth grant unto all nations, of their own nation and tongue, to teach his word, yea, in wisdom, all that he seeth fit that they should have; therefore we see that the Lord doth counsel in wisdom, according to that which is just and true.
9 I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve my Savior!! Helping others come unto Him and make covenants with Him is my JOY!! A top five moment in my life that has made me the most happy has been my first baptism. I know the people I find are prepared to recieve His Gospel, and are helped along by the Holy Spirit. I know I am an instrument in the Lord's hands, to teach and bring souls unto Him, to recieve the blessings He has promised them!
My challenge to you is to be a missionary today!! Elder Bednar once said,
"All around you, every day, are friends and neighbors “who are only kept from the truth because they know not where to find it.” As you are directed by the Spirit, you can share a thought, an invitation, a text or tweet that will introduce your friends to the truths of the restored gospel. You need not and should not wait for your official call to become anxiously engaged in missionary work."
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, you will be a missionary your whole life. Prepare now by making it a regular part of your life! Share what you know! Be a light!!
Bednar continues: "you can increase in your desire to serve God (see D&C 4:3), and you can begin to think as missionaries think, to read what missionaries read, to pray as missionaries pray, and to feel what missionaries feel. You can avoid the worldly influences that cause the Holy Ghost to withdraw, and you can grow in confidence in recognizing and responding to spiritual promptings. Line upon line and precept upon precept, here a little and there a little, you can gradually become the missionary you hope to be and the missionary the Savior expects."
Be a missionary today!!

HIGHLIGHTS
¤ Last Tuesday we went to the Visitor's Center with a friend! Explained the Restoration and how he can find answers to his prayers!!
¤ This week we had 10 lessons with members which is awesome!! Members are the KEY to missionary work!!
¤ Helped Irmã Rose and Irmão Marcos paint a couple walls in their home. Marcos built the whole house by himself, it's three stories tall!
¤ We made a cake and taught Marcos's neighbors who just moved in muahahaha. Boom, five new people!
¤ BAPTISMS!! On Saturday was the baptism of Wellington and Pedro!! It was crazy, we had everything planned out, we came early, cleaned the font, filled it up, set everything up, everything perfect. The program was going great, we sang "Teach Me to Walk in the Light" in both Portuguese and English! Very pretty! When we got to the part of the baptism, we realized the water had been slowly draining!! The water was really low, so we had to fill it up again! As we waited, guess who showed up??? TAYNÁ!! She used to have a baptism date marked but she's going through 16 year old teenage girl mood swings so some days are awesome with her and some days aren't. We knew the drained water was a miracle to allow Tayná to make it to the baptism!! Anyways, Wellington and Pedro were baptized in very cold water, but they are both so very excited to be on the path the Savior left for them!!
¤Next step is to baptize the rest of Wellington's family!! Just have to find a day they are all together! We are hoping November 30th, so please help us and add them in your prayers!
Pretty much it y'all, just tons of lessons, tons of finding, walking, talking, teaching, preaching yall know the drill.
