PENSAMENTO ESPIRITUAL
Taken from Pres. Oaks's must recent General Conference talk, "Following Christ":

"The commandments of God provide the guiding and steadying force in our lives. Our experiences in mortality are like the little boy and his father flying a kite on a windy day. As the kite rose higher, the winds caused it to tug on the connecting string in the little boy’s hand. Inexperienced with the force of mortal winds, he proposed to cut the string so the kite could rise higher. His wise father counseled no, explaining that the string is what holds the kite in place against mortal winds. If we lose our hold on the string, the kite will not rise higher. It will be carried about by these winds and inevitably crash to the earth.
That essential string represents the covenants that connect us to God, our Heavenly Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ. As we honor those covenants by keeping Their commandments and following Their plan of redemption, Their promised blessings enable us to soar to celestial heights."

Hope you guys know the importance of commandments and covenants!! They do not limit us, they protect and strengthen us!! Go to your nearest temple as often as you can!!
I'm so grateful for the opportunity I have to go to the Temple pelo menos uma vez por transferência!!

Hope you guys have an incredible Açao de Graças!! Brasil doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving (they didnt have Pilgrims obvi) but its so much fun to teach the people here and even my companion about the day we spend feeling grateful!!

PORTUGUESE LESSON
A cool thing about Portuguese is if you "are" something that is "permanent" or not easily changed, you use the word "Sou", meaning "I am". With other characteristics that are limited by time or feelings, you use the word "estou", also meaning "I am".
Here, when you are grateful, you say "Eu sou grato/a". Its just so cool to see that in Portuguese, gratitude is a characteristic that is a part of you that doesn't change, rather than a fleeting emotion!

Quick Recap of the Week!!
- Had lunch at Irmã Bonifácio's house, she's like Irmã Fatima 2.0 but can't hear or walk very well. She used to be a women's Olympic level Karate artist!! She is 80+ years old and lives alone with her 40+ yr old son with Down Syndrome. Her other daughter lives in Arizona! She doesn't know what city.
- Spending a lot of time accompanying and having amazing lessons with Fábio and his family, and they all came to church on Sunday!! It was super funny bc it was the Primary Program so it looked like our church was led by children lol
- Had amazing lessons with Paloma and her family!! Gave them all Livros de Mórmon and are building their confidence with prayer!!
- Also spending a lot of time accompanying Wellington's family and remarked the baptisms for Florisbela, Evelyn, and Kamilly for the 30th of November! Pray for us!
- We are trying to help Florisbela read the Livro de Mórmon, she has a hard time reading. We showed her how she coudl listen to it on her phone while she cooks!! (She LOVES cooking). It was super funny bc when she posted her daily cooking video, we heard the Livro de Mórmon audio playing in the background hahahaha
- CONFERÊNCIA DE ZONA!! This was practically a huge training that we are doing to prepare for Natal!! (Christmas!!). There, President Hunt hinted that I would be leaving Caucaia this next transfer!
- We had to rush to the Property of James E Faust here in Brasil because one of the Senior Couples there became SUPER sick so we gave him a blessing
- told Irmã Fatima i would be leaving and she was NOT happy lol

Love you all!!! Tell me your miracles!!
