Quick Recap!

- I was able to go back to Caucaia for the baptism of Fábio!! I was able to confirm him a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost!! So happy for him!! I also gave a short talk there, talking about 2 Nephi 31, it was gassss!! Irmã Fatima was there amd she gave me a pêssego (peach) and a cool lilac tie! Elder Ferreira also gave me a cool red dragon/flower tie.
- Spent Christmas working in the rain making visits and contacts in the road, was crazy fun! Drenched, hungry, and smiling the whole time. We found ONE person who was interested in talking to us and turns out she is a HIDDEN BAPTISM!! She's been taught everything and she's been to church four times. She just has some struggles in her life, but hopefully we'll be able to explain how baptism, the Holy Ghost, and frequency in the church will be able to help her!
- We spent one day with Lian, a recent convert and did a bunch of Member lessons!! Was fun for him to see how much we walk and how much we do each day!
- Lots of work work work trying to fix up this area, we are about halfway thru the transfer! I'm so excited for the rest of the transfer and for the next!! (Bc the people we are teaching will hopefully be married by then! (Literally the only thing holding them back from baptism)
- We will be moving apartments here in a week or so, same place but a different apartment... weird but ok
- Finished the Book of Mormon is Portuguese!!

I was able to talk to Mom, and figured out a good schedule so I could talk to my siblings and see how they're doing! After speaking with Mom, I opened my Book of Mormon/Livro de Mórmon side by side, and started reading as usual. I first read the chapter out loud in English, listen to it in Portuguese, then read it out loud in Portuguese. I started to read out loud in English and I started choking up, because I felt the Spirit so strongly. Of course the chapter I was reading was 1 Nephi 16. This is the chapter where the Liahona is discovered, Nephi breaks his bow, Ishmael dies, contention arises, and the Lord intervenes. Whats up yalll!! So sorry for not sending an email last week, só much going on!! Maria Eduarda got baptized and we are so happy for her!! Otávio will be baptized this Sunday and he's super hyped!! Today we had the opportunity to hear from Elder Gary E. Stevenson, he spoke to only our mission! Including him, 5 General Authorities were there! He spoke on Being a Lifelong Disciple of Jesus Christ!! Using these three things:: 1. Prayer. Constant, Daily prayer 2. Reading the Scriptures, Daily 2. Holding a Current temple recommend and going to the Temple as often as your circumstances permit I invite you to do what Elder Stevenson told us to do!! Love you guys so much!!

Happy Mother's Day to all who bear the sacred title of Mother!! Especially to my wonderful Mother, who I love so dearly!!
