How's life? Time's flying by here in Jardim Catanduva! Tell me how lifes goin and what miracles you saw this past week!!
PENSAMENTO ESPIRITUAL
I love reading talks from President Thomas S. Monson!! In a vast majority of them, he uses poetry or lyrics to convey a specific message. In his talk "Called to Serve", he shared this poem:
"Nobody knows what a boy is worth;
We’ll have to wait and see.
But every man in a noble place
A boy once used to be."
I am grateful for all of the experiences I have had and will have on the mission. Every single one of them means something to me and changes how I see the world, how I work, how I treat others, how I deal with different situations. I see God's hand in my work and in my life and I am so incredibly grateful. I know that to become the "man in the worthy place," I will have to work. I started the mission a boy, and will end it a man. I love every challenge that is put in front of me, because I know "if [I] endure it well, God shall exalt [me] on high; [and I] shalt triumph over all thy foes."
Love you all!! God will strengthen you in your trials!
WEEKLY RECAP
- We found an ELECT person, his name is Leonardo! His mom had asked for a Book of Mormon, but she's never home and always working. We gave the Book to Leonardo and of course, like good missionaries, we took the opportunity to explain what it was and what it talks about! He is SUPER interested, and if he comes to church on the 19th, we will mark a baptismal date for him and try to get him baptized this month!!
- We had a mission wide Zoom call where President Hunt told us the statistics of the Vilazinha de Belém and it was incredible!! So many seeds planted and we even had "batismos de Belém" where people were baptized because of the influence of that month long event!
- President Hunt also introduced the names of our new President! Scott Broadbent and his wife Kendra, from the state of Washington! They'll start here in six months!
- We met Ronaldo who's a DAWG, we are trying to mark more times with him, his family are Jehovah's Witnesses so we'll help them get to know the restored gospel! (and teach them how our missionary work doesn't give away our spot in heaven)
- We met Rafael, who is also a really cool person, who is super interested, but he'll be traveling for a month! Noooo but I'll still be here in Jardim Catanduva in a month so it's chill.
- On Sunday I had the opportunity to give a talk! I haven’t given a talk in church since my first transfer! I chose to mash the topics of the Restoration and Missionary Work and it was awesomeee. For you Portuguese speakers, if you wanna hear it, email me kkkk. I love recording my speaking and looking back on my progress!!
- Monday we met three really chill teens who we are gonna try to get to church! They have tons of potential!!
That's pretty much it! Loving the work, loving my comp, and looking forward to the challenge of training in the next 8 days!!
Love y'all! Lmk how youre doing, tell me your miracles, and thank you to those who email me! I promise I read them and I am sooo grateful!!
Boa semana a todos!!
