Spiritual Thought! Distraction - SEMANA TRINTA E QUATRO

What's up my people!! I love y'all só much and I would love to share a spiritual thought with you!!

PENSAMENTO ESPIRITUAL

Distraction.

Distraction, in its simplest form, is anything that diverts our attention from what is truly important. Satan often employs distraction as a tool to lead us astray. By filling our lives with noise and trivial pursuits, he seeks to draw our focus away from God, our relationships, and our personal growth. These distractions can manifest as excessive focus on social media, entertainment, material possessions, or even worries and anxieties. By subtly shifting our priorities, Satan weakens our spiritual defenses and makes us more susceptible to temptation and negative influences. Recognizing these tactics is crucial in staying grounded and focused on the path of righteousness!!

I have this quote below saved on my phone. It was from a Church News podcast transcript that I read that included Elder Christofferson and Elder Clark G. Gilbert!

"One aspect of it, I guess you could say, is distraction. There is so much at their fingertips, literally and figuratively, that can draw their attention, so many voices, so many competing voices, so much that would draw them or anyone away from the Spirit, away from that personal, individual spiritual guidance that comes quietly and in quiet moments. And so, such a cacophony of voices around them that they have to learn to intentionally find time to be with God, so to speak.

"It is more and more of an effort, I think, to find that in your life or create it consistently in your life. President Nelson spoke about this. His very first message as President of the Church was about personal revelation, and he talked about finding a sacred grove kind of place for yourself where you can go often. He said when you can just focus on communication and getting what the Lord would have you receive, that is still valid instruction, and it is just harder now for people of any age, but young adults especially, who have less experience. So his counsel is good. I think we just have to keep emphasizing and helping them learn how to do that."

I love this quote, and the mini quote inside of it: President Nelson invited us to find our Sacred Grove to communicate with the Lord.

This is the invitation I want to extend to all of you: Find your Sacred Grove.

Let me know how you will do this in your life! Start today, and don't get distracted!!

God actively fights against Satan's power of distraction by offering guidance through prayer, scripture, and the Holy Spirit, enabling clarity and focus on His divine purpose. Through faith and reliance on God, we can individually and personally overcome distractions and maintain their spiritual path!!

Trust in him!!
Proverbs 3:5-6

Love you all!!
