PENSAMENTO ESPIRITUAL

Jesus Christ has many names, but one that I recently was able to study more indepth is the name of "The Mediator".

John 14:6 explains that "No man cometh unto the Father except by [Jesus Christ]." 

"Through Him mercy can be fully extended to each of us without offending the eternal law of justice. This truth is the very root of Christian doctrine. You may know much about the gospel as it branches out from there, but if you only know the branches and those branches do not touch that root, if they have been cut free from that truth, there will be no life nor substance nor redemption in them. 

The extension of mercy will not be automatic. It will be through covenant with Him. It will be on His terms, His generous terms, which include, as an absolute essential, baptism by immersion for the remission of sins. 

All mankind can be protected by the law of justice, and at once each of us individually may be extended the redeeming and healing blessing of mercy. A knowledge of what I am talking about is of a very practical value. It is very useful and very helpful personally; it opens the way for each of us to keep his spiritual accounts paid up."

"And now, my [friends and family], I would that ye should look to the great Mediator, and hearken unto his great commandments; and be faithful unto his words, and choose eternal life, according to the will of his Holy Spirit;" 
- 2 Nephi 2:28

WEEKLY RECAP

This week went by so slow! Transfer week!! I got a new companion here in Ferreira, his name is Elder Hamann! He's from Logan, Utah and he's awesome! I'll be "killing" him this transfer. But he's hyped and ready to work until the end!

We had a baptism this past Sunday of Ana Paula!! I'm so incredibly happy for her and her decision to join her husband in baptism!! 

That's all for now, we are working super hard to get more people making covenants with their Heavenly Father!

I was able to talk to Mom, and figured out a good schedule so I could talk to my siblings and see how they're doing! After speaking with Mom, I opened my Book of Mormon/Livro de Mórmon side by side, and started reading as usual. I first read the chapter out loud in English, listen to it in Portuguese, then read it out loud in Portuguese. I started to read out loud in English and I started choking up, because I felt the Spirit so strongly. Of course the chapter I was reading was 1 Nephi 16. This is the chapter where the Liahona is discovered, Nephi breaks his bow, Ishmael dies, contention arises, and the Lord intervenes. I Forgot What Week It Is, And I Don't Have Time To Look Lol

Whats up yalll!! So sorry for not sending an email last week, só much going on!! Maria Eduarda got baptized and we are so happy for her!! Otávio will be baptized this Sunday and he's super hyped!! Today we had the opportunity to hear from Elder Gary E. Stevenson, he spoke to only our mission! Including him, 5 General Authorities were there! He spoke on Being a Lifelong Disciple of Jesus Christ!! Using these three things:: 1. Prayer. Constant, Daily prayer 2. Reading the Scriptures, Daily 2. Holding a Current temple recommend and going to the Temple as often as your circumstances permit I invite you to do what Elder Stevenson told us to do!! Love you guys so much!!

Happy Mother's Day to all who bear the sacred title of Mother!! Especially to my wonderful Mother, who I love so dearly!!
